Investigating EFL teachers’ perceptions of teaching English proverbs in EFL classes: A cross-cultural study

چکیده

Emerging from the experiences of a specific society, proverbs commonly mirror certain cultural signs traditions, beliefs, and values that society. This appears as one ways teaching target culture through building intercultural connections in English foreign language (EFL) classes. Correspondingly, this study reserves two aims: First, to investigate perceptions Turkish EFL teachers on for relations frequency using classes second, examine ideas native-speaker residing Turkey about role learning Turkish. To end, 65 participated likert-scale pattern questionnaires 4 native lecturers were e-mail interviewed. The data collected participants is analysed described related qualitative quantitative research procedure instruments. revealed classes, favoured they believed was effective improving learners’ skills, grammar vocabulary an L2. As second finding, also positive towards connectors. Hence, accentuates realization can be effectively employed evoking between language, plus L2 skills studies.
